What does a Top 5% Platinum provider actually mean?

Invisalign tiers its providers by the volume of cases they treat, and Platinum status in the top 5% of North American providers means Dr. Abinaash Kaur has planned and managed far more aligner cases than most dentists. At The Village Dentist, that adds up to more than 1,000 completed Invisalign cases.

Volume matters in aligner treatment because plans rarely survive contact with real teeth unchanged. An experienced provider knows which movements aligners handle well, when a case needs attachments or refinements, and how to spot a tooth that is falling behind schedule before it costs you months. Experience also buys you honesty. A provider who treats this many cases has no need to squeeze a borderline case into aligners, so the advice you get at your consultation is straight.

What happens at your free Invisalign consultation?

Your consultation includes digital scans of your teeth, an exam of your bite, and a conversation about what you want to change. You leave with two things: an honest opinion on whether Invisalign suits your case, and a written personal quote prepared for you, not a range copied from a website.

We keep pricing off this page on purpose. What Invisalign costs depends on how far your teeth need to move and how long treatment runs, so one advertised number would be wrong for most people who walk in. What we can promise is a transparent written quote, flexible monthly payment plans, and direct insurance billing so your plan pays its share without you chasing paperwork. There is no obligation and no pressure at the end of the visit. Some people book treatment that week, others think it over for a year. Both are fine with us.

Doing your homework first? Our Invisalign cost guide for Toronto explains what pushes a quote up or down, so you can compare any quotes you collect with confidence.

How does Invisalign treatment work here?

Treatment follows four steps, and you will know the whole plan before you commit to any of it.

  1. Free consultation and digital scan. We scan your teeth, review your bite, and show you what aligners can realistically do for your case.
  2. Your custom treatment plan. Dr. Kaur designs the tooth movements, you approve the projected result and the written quote, and your aligner series is made for your teeth alone.
  3. Wear, switch, check in. You change trays at home on a set schedule and visit us for short progress checks. Evening and Saturday appointments make these easy to keep.
  4. Finish with a retainer plan. Every case includes a retainer plan after treatment, because teeth drift when nothing holds them in place.

Most cases at our practice run about 6 to 18 months. For a closer look at pacing, read our guide to how long Invisalign takes in Toronto.

Who is Invisalign for, and who is it not for?

Invisalign suits most adults and teens with crowding, gaps, mild to moderate bite issues, or teeth that have drifted back after braces years ago. It is not for everyone. Severe rotations, large bite corrections, and some jaw relationships are still handled better with braces or staged treatment, and we will tell you which camp you are in.

For the full breakdown, see our Invisalign vs braces comparison. One more boundary worth knowing: aligners move teeth, they do not replace them. If a missing tooth is part of what bothers you about your smile, ask about dental implants at the same visit, since the order of treatment matters.

What is daily life with aligners like?

Plan for aligners to be in your mouth about 22 hours a day. They come out to eat, to drink anything other than water, and to brush and floss, then go straight back in. Most people adjust to speaking with them within a few days.

Expect a feeling of pressure for the first day or two of each new tray. That is the aligner doing its job, and it fades as your teeth settle. Rinse your trays whenever they come out, brush them gently once a day, and keep the case in your bag, because a napkin-wrapped aligner is how trays end up in restaurant garbage bins. None of this is hard, but honest expectations up front are a big part of why our cases finish on schedule.

Invisalign questions we hear every day

How much does Invisalign cost in Toronto?

Every case is different, so we do not post a single number. At your free consultation you get a written personal quote based on your scan and exam, with no obligation. We offer flexible monthly payment plans and bill your insurance directly. For a sense of what shapes the price, read our Invisalign cost guide.

How long does Invisalign take?

Most cases at our practice run about 6 to 18 months, depending on how far your teeth need to move. Simple crowding can finish sooner, complex bite corrections take longer. You will see your projected timeline at the consultation, and we track progress at short check-in visits throughout treatment.

Does Invisalign hurt?

Invisalign is not painless, but it is gentle. Expect a feeling of pressure for the first few days with each new set of aligners, which means the aligners are working. Most patients describe it as tenderness rather than pain, and it typically settles quickly. Serious discomfort is not normal, so call us if it happens.

How many hours a day do I need to wear the aligners?

Plan on about 22 hours a day. Aligners come out for meals, for drinks other than water, and for brushing and flossing, then go straight back in. Consistent wear is the single biggest factor in staying on schedule. If aligners sit out for hours at a time, treatment slows down and trays stop fitting.

Does insurance cover Invisalign?

Many private plans include partial orthodontic coverage, and every plan sets its own limits, so it is worth checking yours. We bill your insurance directly, which means less paperwork and fewer upfront surprises for you. At the consultation we can help you read your coverage and pair it with a monthly payment plan.

Does the Canadian Dental Care Plan cover Invisalign?

No. The CDCP covers everyday care such as checkups, cleanings, fillings and x-rays, subject to plan rules, but it does not cover orthodontic or cosmetic treatment like Invisalign. We accept CDCP for those everyday services and bill Sun Life directly. Learn more on our CDCP page or ask us at your visit.
