COVID-19: We Are Coming Back Stronger

We're reopening. After weeks of uncertainty, closed doors, and honestly, a lot of worry, The Village Dentist is ready to welcome you back.

I'm not going to pretend the last few months have been normal. They haven't. COVID-19 shut down dental practices across Ontario, and like many of you, I had to step back and reconsider everything. But I've also had time to think about what matters most: your health, and our responsibility to keep you safe when you're in our chair.

Here's what I want you to know. We've been preparing. We're not just opening doors and hoping for the best.

We've upgraded our PPE across the board. N95 masks, face shields, fresh protocols for every patient. We've installed HEPA filtration in our operatories because the air you breathe while we work matters. Our sterilization procedures are more rigorous now. Everything gets the attention it deserves.

We're also screening you before your appointment. Simple questions about symptoms, travel, exposure. It's not invasive. It's just smart. If something doesn't align, we'll reschedule or modify your appointment to make sure everyone stays safe. No judgment, no rush.

The research has been reassuring. When dental offices follow strict protocols, transmission doesn't happen. Your dentist's office is actually a pretty safe place to be right now, if we do it right. And we're doing it right.

I've missed you, honestly. I've missed the conversations, the relationships, the work. Dentistry isn't something I do remotely. It's something we do together, in person, with trust.

We're coming back. And we're coming back stronger, safer, and more thoughtful about what that means.
